Amravati (Maharashtra):The forests of Melghat Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra's Amravati welcomed 'Indian Bullfrog' this year after the first showers of rain. Melghat, popular to home numerous species of wild animals and birds, has made nature lovers overjoyed this time after the largest species of frog was spotted jumping into water puddles.
Scientifically known as Hoplobatrachus tigerinus, the Indian Bullfrog or Golden Frog is a widespread invasive species. The frog does not stay in water for a long time and spends most of its time hiding and feeding in surrounding vegetation.
