Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday busted an International drug trafficking attempt. The Bureau seized about 500 grams of amphetamine drug during the operation. According to reports, the smugglers had planned to smuggle the drug from Mumbai to New Zealand.
The racket was busted after the bureau carried out a raid in the Andheri area under the leadership of NCB Director, Mumbai Region, Sameer Wankhede and seized the drugs. The narcotics, found concealed inside an induction cooktop, were to be smuggled to Christchurch, New Zealand.
Earlier, the Narcotics Control Bureau had seized a large quantity of Marijuana from Hyderabad's outskirts, being transported from Seeleru (Andhra Pradesh) to Pune (Maharashtra). The officials found more than 1000 packets of marijuana in the truck.
