Jashpur:An inquiry has been ordered by the district's collector against the principal of a Government Higher Secondary School for allegedly demanding chicken and liquor for giving admission to a Class 10 student in Chhattisgarh's Manora on Thursday.
The parents, along with Shala Vikas Committee (SVC) members, went to the Collectorate after which a departmental inquiry was ordered in the matter.
Meanwhile, the student's parent accused the district education officer (DEO) of hiding the matter.
Student's sister Asmita Ekka said, "I've been trying to get my brother enrolled in Class 10, but they are continuously demanding bribe from us."
