Emirates Airlines flies with single passenger

A video of a man travelling to Dubai from Mumbai is going viral on social media. In the video, he can be seen travelling alone in a huge Boeing 777 with a capacity of 360 seats. Usually, planes don't fly without enough passengers.

The lucky passenger is Bhavesh Zaveri, the CEO of Stargem groups. The office of his company is in Dubai. So Bhavesh has to travel frequently between Mumbai and Dubai. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, UAE has restricted entry into their country to only UAE citizens, Golden Visa holders, and embassy officials and diplomats. Due to UAE's restrictions, the number of people going to Dubai has been decreased drastically.

On the 19th of May, 2021 Bhavesh was the only passenger going to Dubai. Bhavesh said he has travelled the Mumbai-Dubai-Mumbai route about 240 times. But this trip was the best of all. All the Air hostesses applauded me. I also talked with the Flight Commander, and requested him to allow me to sit on seat no. 18 (as I was the only passenger). I consider 18 as my lucky number, and I got to sit on that seat.

This journey was a mesmerizing one. Airport officials said, that the Boeing 777 had arrived from Dubai to Mumbai, and it had to go back. Emirates Airlines operated this flight and it cost them 8 lakh rupees just for the fuel while flying from Mumbai to Delhi. Bhavesh Zaveri was issued a ticket and allowed to fly as he had the necessary permission to travel, including a UAE golden visa.
