Mumbai: A total of 580 COVID-19-infected patients from the grand COVID centres at Dahisar, Bandra-Kurla Complex and Mulund will be shifted to various municipal hospitals late in the night as a precautionary measure in view of the possibility of strong winds and heavy rain owing to Cyclone Tauktae.

580 COVID-19-infected patients from the grand COVID centres at Dahisar, Bandra-Kurla Complex and Mulund will be shifted to various municipal hospitals in view of the possibility of strong winds and heavy rain.
A planning and review meeting was held on Saturday evening. Additional Municipal Commissioner (Western Suburbs) Suresh Kakani, Deputy Commissioner (Public Health) Devidas Kshirsagar, Director Head Hospitals and Medical Colleges Dr Ramesh Bharmal and Director (Disaster Management) Mahesh Narvekar along with superintendents of various hospitals, medical superintendents and deputy commissioners of various districts were present.
Kakani directed the authorities concerned to evacuate the patients safely with oxygen supplying cylinders, equipped ambulances and injections among others.
