Panaji (Goa): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has promised the people of Goa to provide 300 units of free electricity if voted to power in the state. He also added that one unemployed person from each household would be given a job if Aam Aadmi Party comes to power in Goa.
Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that his party will reserve 80 per cent jobs, including in the private sector, for locals if voted to power after winning the upcoming Goa Assembly elections. He also assured a monthly remuneration of Rs 5,000 to the families dependent on mining and tourism industries till these two sectors return to normalcy. Speaking to the reporters in Mapusa, Arvind Kejriwal said that Rs 3000 will be provided to unemployed youth till they get a job.

There is currently a BJP government in Goa, where assembly elections are due in February next year. This is Kejriwal's second visit to Goa in the last two months. When he visited Goa for the first time in July, the then Delhi Chief Minister had assured people in Goa of free electricity up to 300 units per month if his party came to power. Kejriwal made another promise that a 'Skill University' would be set up in Goa on the lines of Delhi, where youth would be skilled and job-ready.
