4 dead in road accident in Amravati

A road accident took place in Ghuikhed village on the Nagpur-Aurangabad highway leaving 4 persons dead. The accident happened when the truck moving in opposite direction hit the car. All the deceased belonged to the same family.

Amravati: At least four persons were killed in a road accident that took place in Ghuikhed village on the Nagpur-Aurangabad highway on Sunday.

Two persons died on the spot while the other two succumbed to their injuries. All the deceased belonged to the same family.

The deceased have been identified as Anil Sharangadhar Chandikapure, Kabir Anil Chandikapure, Pragya and Leela Bai Sharangadhar Chandikapure.

The accident happened when the truck moving in the opposite direction hit the car. Reportedly, the truck was trying to avoid a pothole on the road.

The truck driver is absconding after the accident.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
