Youth sets himself on fire at SP office in MP

A youth in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh tried to immolate himself in front of the SP office. The victim was apparently upset over being framed in a false bike theft case.

Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh):Upset over police inaction, a youth in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh on Monday allegedly tried to immolate himself in front of the SP office.

According to the sources, the victim was apparently upset that he was being framed in a false bike theft case.

Due to this, the victim was continuously being tortured by the police.

Hence for seeking help, he went to SP office from past few days but no help has been given to him.

As a result, the youth set himself on fire before the cops present at the SP office could intervene.

Cops doused the flames using a blanket and some shrubs. However, by the time the youth was badly burnt.

He has been admitted to the District Hospital in a serious condition.

The matter is being probed.
