Woman abducted, raped in Madhya Pradesh

A woman alleged that she was abducted and raped in Madhya Pradesh's Shahdol district. A case has been registered at the Jaitpur police station and the matter is being investigated.

Shahdol:A case has been registered after a woman alleged that she was abducted and raped in Madhya Pradesh's Shahdol district.

"A woman filed a complaint that four persons abducted her in a car and took her to a place where one of them raped her. A case has been registered at the Jaitpur police station. We are investigating the matter and will nab the accused soon," Mukesh Vaisya, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Shahdol told media.

The case has been registered under sections 376, 342, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

It may be mentioned here that a 24-year-old woman was also abducted and raped by a person in the Kolar police station area in Bhopal on January 18.
