Shahdol:India is the abode of many artists who portray cultural and traditional vibrancy through conventional arts and crafts.
One such artist from Madhya Pradesh is rising to fame for his wooden sculpting, creating groundbreaking forms accompanied by social messages.
Bihari Lal Sahu, a resident of Devri No 2 village, Gohparu Block in Shahdol District has collected various awards and accolades for his art.
His wood carving usually involves eye-catching Tribal art, Ajanta art, models, house interiors- doors, sofas, beds and more.
Currently, one of his magnum opus- a wood-book encompassing social messages- is in the process of getting registered in the Guinness Book of World Records in Delhi.
"The book is first of its kind and is currently in the process of getting registered in Guinness World Records. The idea was to promote the social message of 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' in a unique way," Sahu told ETV Bharat.
