Agar Malwa (Madhya Pradesh):In yet another controversial statement, lone BJP MLA from Telangana Raja Singh said that lynchings in India will not stop unless an anti-cow slaughter bill is introduced.
Singh added that butchers will also be killed if cows are not protected The Goshamahal legislator, who visited the Maa Baglamukhi temple in the district, said, "Unless an anti-cow slaughter Bill is introduced, mob lynchings will only increase. Butchers will also be killed."
Welcoming PM Narendra Modi's take on population control, Singh called for a population control law, adding that hum do hamare do (us two, our two children) should be followed across the country.
However, in another controversial remark, he added, "There are a few communities who are going forward with the hum paanch humaare pachaas (us five, our 25 children) scheme."
"It is great that PM Modi is mulling a population-control law. People from all communities support this decision as our population has already crossed 130 crore. If this continues, we will soon run out of space and water," he added.
However, this is not the first time that Singh is making such a comment. In July last year, he had said that incidents of lynching will continue in India unless cows get status of 'rashtra mata' and a law is introduced against the animal’s slaughter.
