Tehsildar orders cash reward for information on Covid patients in rural areas

The Covid crisis seems to have transitioned into the rural areas of the country at a lightning pace. However, many people in the villages are still not getting tested or roaming outside instead of home isolation. Due to which the risk of infection is spreading rapidly in the hinterland. To check the spread of infection in the rural areas, the administration is also figuring different ways.

To check the spread of infection in the rural areas, the administration is also figuring different ways.

Bhittarwar Tehsildar has started an investigation to prevent the spread of COVID19 in rural areas through informants. The Bhittarwar Tehsildar has announced that a reward of Rs 500 will be given to the informants for sharing information about the corona-infected patients in the rural areas.

The reward will be given on reporting a Covid positive patient moving outside the home isolation. According to Bhithwar Tehsildar Shyamu Srivastava, this reward will be provided through the Bhitarwar Municipal Council. The name of the informer will also be kept secret.

The number of Covid patients in the rural areas of Gwalior is steadily increasing. At the same time, many villages are also seeing deaths due to Covid infection. In the last 4 hours, 26 new patients have been found in the rural areas. The number of active patients is 854.
