Bhopal:Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) terrorists lodged in Madhya Pradesh Central Jail have gone on hunger strike for the last three days demanding they be moved to normal cells along with other prisoners.
All these accused have been kept in the new Anda (egg) cell made in the Central Jail for the sake of security.
Since these SIMI prisoners are jailed for various offences like murder, robbery, and treason, they are kept under special protection.
Previously, some SIMI terrorists tried to escape the prison and since then the security system has been increased and these accused are kept under special watch. CCTV cameras have also been installed for 24 hours surveillance.
Some of the SIMI members were caught misbehaving and picking fights with other inmates and prison authorities and since then, they have been shifted to the Anda cells.
