Gwalior: Ghanshyam Gurjar, a man from Surela village in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior has managed to raise nine buffaloes and over Rs 1 lakh in no time. Gurjar is not a dairy farmer, but managed to swindle the livestock and money after cheating a man in the name of “marriage” with his non-existent daughter of a marriageable age!
The new-age thug has been arrested by the police and the nine buffaloes recovered from his possession. SDPO Santosh Patel while confirming the development said that the accused Gurjar was arrested following a complaint by one Krishna Singh Gurjar. SDPO Patel said that the complainant alleged that the accused Gurjar took nine buffaloes and Rs 1.08 lakh in cash in lieu of the marriage of his daughter with the brother of the complainant.

However, after handing over the livestock and cash to Gurjar, Krishna came to know that the accused had no daughter of marriageable age and all his daughters were minors, SDPO Patel said. Following the complaint by Krishna, a special team of police was formed to probe the case. In the subsequent investigation, accused Ghanshyam Gurjar was arrested and the nine buffaloes were also recovered from his possession, the SDPO said.
He further informed that police have registered a case against the accused under section 420 of IPC for fraud. He said further sections will be added to the FIR in accordance with probe into the matter. Police investigation against accused Gurjar has revealed that the accused is a serial fraudster, who cheats gullible men in the name of marriage with his daughters and takes money from them. The serial thug has so far made three people his victims, police said.
