Katni (Madhya Pradesh): Reiterating the words of ousted Punjab chief minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra on Sunday targeted Navjot Singh Sidhu saying the threat to national security was imminent if the Punjab Congress chief was made the state's chief minister. Amarinder had on Saturday remarked that Sidhu had close ties with Pakistani leaders and hence his elevation as the chief minister of Punjab, which shares a border with Pakistan, would mean a threat to the country's security.
Mishra also sought to know from the Congress high command the reason for appointing Sidhu as the PCC chief. "I want to ask Sonia Gandhi Ji why she made such a person the party president of a state which shares a border with the neighbouring country. Sonia Gandhi Ji should clarify," Mishra said.
