Patanjali's Coronil relaunched as immunity booster in Madhya Pradesh

Patanjali's Coronil tablet and Swasari Vati medicine have been relaunched as 'immunity booster' in Madhya Pradesh. Minister Inder Singh Parmar urged people to use it as it would help them build immunity against the deadly disease.

Shajapur:Madhya Pradesh Minister Inder Singh Parmar has urged people to use Patanjali's Coronil tablet and Swasari Vati medicine for Covid-19, saying ayurvedic medicines would be an immunity booster.

The minister launched it as an immunity booster and not as a cure to the deadly disease as was claimed by the Patanjali Ltd on the day of its launch last month.

On June 23, Patanjali Ayurved launched Coronil tablet and Swasari Vati medicine claiming that the medicines can cure Covid-19 within seven days. On July 1, the Ayush Ministry permitted Patanjali to sell Coronil as long as it is advertised as an immunity booster and not a ‘coronavirus cure'.

Days after yoga guru Ramdev launched 'Coronil', claiming that it can cure coronavirus, a plea was filed in a Delhi court seeking direction to the police to register an FIR against him, Patanjali Ayurved Ltd, Acharya Balkrishna and others.

There were demands for action against the yoga guru from various quarters soon after he claimed to have made medicine for Covid-19.
