Indore (Madhya Pradesh):Pankaj Chhirsagar, a production engineer by profession, joined hands with two like-minded professionals to assemble and operationalize the unutilized and new ventilators at the government hospitals in Indore.
Chhirsagar, stepped forward to take up the mission after he was shaken to see a close friend succumbing to shortness of breath triggered by Covid-19. He learned that although many government hospitals in Indore have received ventilators under the PM-CARES central scheme, many are lying unutilized due to the absence of skilled technicians on the payroll.
He took to social media to reach out to like-minded people to help him. His efforts bore fruits when he got in touch with Chirag Shah, a mechanical engineer.
