No peon, MP govt school students themselves fill water in cans from hand pump

In the absence of a peon, the students of a primary school in Madhya Pradesh were seen filling water in cans for their school.

MP: Students forced to fill water in cans using hand pump

Chattarpur (Madhya Pradesh):Two primary school girls were seen filling water in cans from a nearby hand pump for the school in Tamrai district of Chattarpur in Madhya Pradesh.

The students are from the Government Girls School, and are studying in Class 3 and Class 4.

The school does not have any peon to take care of students, due to which primary school girls are forced to do these daily chores.

Usha Bilthre, a teacher at the school, said, "There is a peon for middle school, but no peon for primary school."Municipal Commissioner Archana Guddu Singh said that an inquiry would be conducted and whoever found guilty will be punished. She further said that action will be taken against the responsible teachers and officials.
