Indore: Minister for Tourism and Culture in Madhya Pradesh, Usha Thakur, who always grabs the headlines for her controversial remarks, has been spotted performing puja to ward off COVID-19 at Indore Airport on Friday.
In a video, Thakur has been seen while performing 'puja' before the statue of Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar. During the puja, the airport’s director Aryama Sanyas and other staff were also present.
She was performing puja without wearing the mask while other persons who were sitting with her were seen wearing masks.
Before this, Thakur has backed Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat over his controversial remarks on the "ripped jeans" of women. She said that it was a "bad omen in Indian culture" to wear torn clothes.
