MP jailbreak: Police nabs 1 absconding prisoner of Neemuch jail

Neemuch police have nabbed one of the undertrial prisoners, Lekh Ram, who fled the district jail on June 23. The prisoners had cut the iron rod of their barrack at the sub-jail in Kanavati and climbed down the 22-foot high boundary wall using a rope.

MP jailbreak: One of the four who escaped nabbed

Neemuch (MP): One of the four undertrials, who had escaped from a jail in Madhya Pradesh's Neemuch district on June 23, was rearrested on Friday.

The four prisoners who were absconded - Nar Singh (20), Pankaj Mongia (21), Lekh Ram (29) and Dubey Lal (19). The police officials said that the prisoners had cut the iron rod of their barrack at the sub-jail in Kanavati here and climbed down the 22-foot high boundary wall using a rope.

Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar Sagar said that Lekh Ram was nabbed by the police on June 28. Ram, a native of neighbouring Mandsaur district in MP, was being tried in a case of loot and murder, an official said.

"We have launched several search operations to nab the rest of the three prisoners. They will be soon in our Jail," added Sagar.
