Gwalior: Demonstrating the apathy of authorities which is leading to bleeding of the government exchequer, several rooms of a guest house at the Rajmata Vijayaraje Agricultural University in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior have been locked for the last four years since the CBI booked the rooms during the investigation of the Vyapam scam, officials said.
An exclusive investigation by ETV Bharat has reveled that the rooms of the International Guest House located at the premises of the Rajmata Vijayaraje Agricultural University have been locked since 2019 after the CBI team had booked some rooms to investigate the Vyapam scam. After the investigation was over, the CBI team vacated the rooms.
Since then, the rooms are locked with the rent of the rooms of the guest house exceeding Rs 51 lakh without any actual use, sources said. Sources told ETV Bharat that the university management has written several letters to the SP and the collector in this regard, but to no avail. The police had asked the university administration to arrange the accommodation in the year 2015 after a 20-member CBI team had come to Gwalior to investigate the Vyapam scam.
