Khargone (MP):A minor girl was allegedly raped by three unidentified men in Khargone in Madhya Pradesh.
The girl and her brother were sleeping inside a hut in Marugarh village when three men arrived on a two-wheeler.
They later assaulted the girl in a nearby field, according to Superintendent of Police Shailendra Singh Chauhan.
The girl's brother was also attacked by the intruders, the officer said.
Superintendent of Police Shailendra Singh Chauhan speaking to media When her brother raised an alarm and alerted the villagers, the men fled the spot leaving the two-wheeler behind, police said.
"Three men came and asked for water. They demanded alcohol and I said no to them. They went back and came with wooden sticks to beat me. I ran away from the spot to call people for help," the girl's brother said.
Chauhan said a case under relevant sections has been registered and the girl's medical examination was conducted.
The two-wheeler used by the attackers was also a stolen one, police said.
