Ratlam:The Madhya Pradesh police on Thursday gunned down the main accused of Ratlam triple murder case in an encounter in which two sub-inspectors (SI) and three other policemen were also injured.
Confirming the news, Ratlam Superintendent of Police (SP) Gaurav Tiwari said Dilip Dewal, the main accused of Ratlam triple murder was killed in the encounter that ensued near Khachrod checkpoint. Officers including Ayub Khan and Anurag Yadav in-charge of Manak Chowk police station were also injured in the incident.
The officer added that they received a tip-off following which police were deployed at the checkpoint and when Dilip spotted them he started firing.
In retaliation to the shooting, the police also fired shots in which Dilip was killed.
