Hoshangabad:Caught in an ownership dispute, a dog will undergo a DNA test in Madhya Pradesh's Hoshangabad. The decision was taken after one of the claimants suggested for it.
Claimed by two people - Shadab Khan and Kritik Shivharey, the said case is a peculiar one where Shadab claims the dog to be his pet 'Koko' that went missing from his house three months back. At the same time, Kritik Shivharey claims that the dog is his pet dog 'Tiger'.
Hoshangabad police on Wednesday had handed the dog to Shadab based on papers after which Kritik claimed that the dog belongs to him. Since then, both, Shadab and Kritik have been claiming the ownership.
It is then, on Shadab's suggestion, Police TI Hemant Srivastava agreed to take a blood sample from the dog in question and match it with its sire. Srivastava made a report late Friday night and took it to the District Veterinary Hospital for the same.
