Morena (Madhya Pradesh):The number of deaths in the Madhya Pradesh hooch tragedy rose to 24 with three more people of Chhera village reported dead on Wednesday night in Morena district.
The deceased have been identified as Kali Charan Kushwaha, Pawan Rathore, Ramnivas Gurjar of the same village.
According to sources, the accused used chemicals to make liquor and sell it to people in villages for a low price. Several victims are still hospitalised in Morena and Gwalior districts and their condition is stated to be serious.

Madhya Pradesh hooch tragedy: Toll mounts to 24, SIT launches probe Acting upon the hooch tragedy, Madhya Pradesh government has removed District Collector Anurag Verma and Superintendent of Police Anurag Sujania of Morena district, as per the decision made in a high-level meeting.
Meanwhile, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan ordered a probe by a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the matter. He has also ordered to initiate a campaign against spurious liquor in the state. Strict monitoring to prevent sale and consumption of spurious liquor has been ordered.
According to IG-Chambal Range Manoj Sharma, searches are being conducted to arrest the accused.
