Bhopal:Amid the ongoing lockdown to contain the coronavirus epidemic, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan distributed aid of Rs 1,000 for labourers in the unorganised sector.
It includes 7,000 daily earners who were migrated from as many as 22 states to the Madhya Pradesh for their livelihood.
It also includes 245 Indian and one Nepali labourer who were not enrolled under the Madhya Pradesh labourer register act.
Meanwhile, the distribution of the relief amount costs Rs 70 lakh to the state government.
The relief amount was announced two days after Shivraj Singh Chouhan take over Kamal Nath led government.
"Labourers in the unorganized sector will be given financial assistance of Rs 1,000 each through the Sannirman Karmkar Mandal", said Chouhan on March 25.
