6-yr-old donates entire piggy bank's saving for PM-CARE Funds

In a cute gesture, an L.K.G student of Madhya Pradesh has handed over her entire piggy bank's saving in order to provide relief for those affected by the pandemic and the lockdown.

Dindori (Madhya Pradesh):While celebrities and entrepreneurs have come forward to assist the government in raising fund for COVID-19, a 6-year-old girl from Madhya Pradesh's Dindori was not far behind.

In a cute gesture, she donated whatever she had saved in her piggy bank for relief for those affected by the pandemic and the lockdown.

While bequeathing her entire savings to the police, Kanika Jain, an L.K.G student, said, "I have donated Rs 3,751 from my piggy bank, which I was saving from the last two years."

When ETV Bharat's correspondent asked the reason for her charity, the six-year-old girl responded with a cute smile on her face, "I want to serve for those who are hungry due to the countrywide lockdown."

Sonu Jain, father of the child and also a radium artist by profession said that his child has an immense love for humanity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently announced the PM-CARE Funds for the people to donate for the fight against the novel coronavirus. People have been pledging to donate money with an open heart.
