Priyanka Gandhi meets women of Ramghat The Congress general secretary said, "I have come here to say that 'Ladki hoon, lad sakti hoon'. Women have fought strongly for themselves in every struggle. The condition of the state is very bad, today women are fighting more.
"You all are bearing the burden of inflation in your homes. You are getting mustard oil for Rs250. The government has given you a free cylinder, but who will get it filled? You are not able to get that cylinder filled because the new cylinder costs Rs.1000."
Priyanka added, "The government thinks that by giving gifts to women, their work will be done. The government is not trying to recognise the power of women. There is a lack of industry and unemployment. The government did not help the migrant labourers during the pandemic but for Prime Minister Narendra Modi the buses are standing ready for tomorrow.
"No one will fight for you. A woman's struggle is a struggle of her own. You have to fight for your rights yourself. You don't demand from those who exploit you. This time from Congress side 40% women will contest for elections ."
Priyanka said, "Wheat paddy will be waived for Rs2500, sugarcane farmer will get Rs400, halve all electricity bills, will give Rs25,000 to poor families, 20 lakh people will be given government employment, of which 40% will be women."
