Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a rescue operation that lasted for six hours, the Shahjehanbad police on Thursday rescued an 80-year-old widow of former Inspector General of Police and her sister from their house in Koh-e-Fiza area of Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal district, where they were held captive for the past two months.
The police had to break 25 locks to rescue the two elderly women held hostage by their domestic helpers.
An FIR was filed against the two caretakers Rukhmani and Abdul Laik.
The two sisters were identified as Razia Sultan, a retired school teacher and her sister Rana Sultan.

The matter came to light after their brother Rafi lodged a complaint with the police stating that he was not allowed to meet his sisters as they have been held captive in their own house.
