Woman who met Hathras family denies being a Naxal

The woman who met Hathras victim's family by calling herself as the sister-in-law of the Dalit teenager has denied the charges of being a Naxalite. She stated that she is being forcibly implicated.

Jabalpur: Dr Rajkumari Bansal, the woman who was staying with Hathras victim's family and was suspected of being a Naxal, has denied the charges of Uttar Pradesh police. She claimed that she is being forcibly implicated.

Bansal is a lecturer at Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur and she stayed with the victim's family for four days.

She said that she does not have any blood relation with the family but visited Hathras to help them.

Uttar Pradesh SIT has placed Bansal on its suspect list.

She stated that she went to Hathras under a humanitarian cause to support the victim's family apart from this she has neither provoked anyone nor made any misrepresentation.

Bansal said that she is troubled with the way the bereaved family was treated and left alone. She also questioned the need for performing the last rites of the victim without the consent of family members.

The lecturer also stated that she is ready to cooperate with the investigation but denied the charges by stating them false allegations.

Earlier, in a viral video defending her stand, Bansal said, "If politics done to seek justice is wrong then such politics must happen."

Meanwhile, the family members of the Hathras victim stated that everything happening around them is part of a conspiracy and whosoever is meeting them is termed as a terrorist.

On the other hand, one of the relatives of the victim said that the lecturer is her distant relative while another claimed that Bansal does not belong to their family tree but came to meet them on seeing our problems.
