Malhara (Madhya Pradesh): At least 11 people, who were stranded on a remote delta on the Dhasan river, were rescued by the state home guard in Madhya Pradesh's Badmalhera on Tuesday.
According to sources, the flood victims were marooned on the delta for more than 36 hours and the incident came to light when few local media channels broadcasted the same.
Upon watching the news, the local administration, led by Badmalhera Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Nathuram Goud and Tehsildar Trilok Singh, reached the spot in the morning and informed the rescue team after taking stock of the situation.
