Narsinghpur:At least five migrant labourers died and 11 were injured in an accident in Madhya Pradesh's Narsinghpur on May 9 overnight. According to reports, the daily wage earners were travelling from Telangana's Hyderabad to their home village in Uttar Pradesh.

Five migrant labourers die after truck overturns in Madhya Pradesh
The truck was laden with mangoes and was reportedly ferrying a total of 20 people, out of which 11 are residents of Jhansi and nine are from Etah. The workers, who have lost their livelihood and source of revenue were heading back from cities including Coimbatore, Nagpur and Hyderabad.
"Two people referred to Jabalpur as one of them had head injury and the other had mandible fracture. Two other are critical and others are stable. One of them has cough, cold and fever since three days so we have conducted samplings of all of them, including the dead," said Civil Surgeon, Doctor Anita Agrawal.
District Collector Deepak Saxena and Superintendent of Police Gurkaran Singh along with the police officials have reached the spot. On the other hand, Additional Collector Manoj Thakur and Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Tiwari are present in the District Hospital
Earlier, at least 16 migrant workers were killed after coming under a goods train in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. The workers, who were walking to Bhusawal from Jalna, were set to return to their home villages in Madhya Pradesh amid nationwide lockdown.
