Sheopur:Madhya Pradesh's COVID-19 warrior Naazira Khan who throughout the pandemic served the people keeping them first instead of the family would be honoured with the 'Woman COVID warrior award' for her contributions by the Central government.

"When on 22 March lockdown was imposed, our department informed us that we have to go out there and educate people about the pandemic. The Anganwadi workers should also inform people about masks, sanitizers and social distancing. After that my fellow workers and I set out in talking to people, we also get the migrant workers quarantined and made efforts to provide them with food via the PDS system as their business shut down.
We were on our toes checking the temperatures, taking the people to the hospital. It is my good fortune and I want to the thank the government for identifying my efforts and honouring me with the award," Naazira said.
