BJP fined Rs 13 lakh for putting up illegal hoardings in MP

The BJP has been handed over a strict fine of Rs 13.46 lakhs by Indore Municipal Corporation for putting up illegal hoardings during party's working president JP Nadda's rally. The hoardings were put up in the city on Saturday night. However, BJP leaders have denied receiving any kind of notice.

Indore: Indore Municipal Corporation has imposed a fine of Rs 13.46 lakh on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for putting up illegal hoardings during party's working president JP Nadda's rally.

The hoardings were put up in the city on Saturday night. However, BJP leaders have denied receiving any kind of notice.

More than 3,500 hoardings were put-up that were removed by the market removal team of the Corporation.

The Corporation has sent a letter to BJP Municipal president Gopi Nema for the recovery of Rs 13.46 lakh. This includes Rs 12.21 lakh for putting-up hoardings and Rs 1,25,000 that was borne by the Corporation to remove them.

It is to be noted that Congress Seva Dal president Mukesh Yadav and Rajiv Vikas Kendra president Devendra Singh had filed a complaint to the Municipal Corporation regarding these illegal hoardings.

It was told in the complaint that the Chief Minister himself has banned hoarding, yet illegally many hoardings have been put in the city.
