Ayurvedic doctor held for providing allopathic treatment

The AYUSH physician used to work for 8 hours at the Covid Care Centre and later tends to his patients in his private clinic cum medical store in Nalachha. Following a tip-off a police team raided the medical store and found that Dr Ghanshyam was providing allopathic treatment which is against the rules.

Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): Dr Ghanshyam Jat, an AYUSH physician working at the Covid Care Center in Dharavara village of Dhar district was held for providing allopathic treatment to Covid patients. Several medicines which are used to treat Covid patients and sanitizers have been recovered from his vehicle.

The AYUSH physician used to work for 8 hours at the Covid Care Centre and later tends to his patients in his private clinic cum medical store in Nalachha. Following a tip-off when a police team had raided the medical store they found that Dr Ghanshyam was providing allopathic treatment which is against the rules.

Around five patients were seen in the clinic for treatment, with some lying on the floor and others on a sofa.

When police sent the patients for medical examination, one of them who was being treated in the clinic for the past five days was Covid positive. As a result, the police have decided to take action against the doctor.

Shivangi Joshi, the City Magistrate of Dhar said that an FIR is lodged and action is being initiated against Dr Ghanshyam Jat.
