Ujjain: Seven people died after consuming illicit liquor in Gopal Mandir area of Chhatri Chowk in Ujjain district.
While some more labourers are in a critical condition and undergoing treatment.
Police are looking into the case and an investigation is underway.
Post mortem of two dead bodies has been done, while post mortem of four dead bodies is to be done today.
Five youths were seen on the roadside in the morning after which people informed to the police.
The police reached the spot and all the youths were rushed to the hospital, where the doctor declared 2 labourers Shankar Lal resident of Piploda and Vijay resident of Bherupura dead.
Police have launched an investigation and waiting for the post-mortem reports of the deceased.
