Kasargod (Kerala): Kerala is on rage against the death of Valayar tribal girls as people are organising protests for their sisters' justice. Associated with the campaign for Valayar sisters, the role of 'frocks hanging from trees' is pivotal.
Manji Charutha (Manjima), a resident from Puluvinchi area of Kasargod district is the person behind this idea which provoked the dormant society to wake up against the evil administration.
Manjima is a student from Payyannur college who is pursuing post-graduation in Malayalam and has expressed her feelings (on the Valayar issue) on a piece of paper while preparing for her examinations.
"The Valayar girls need justice, otherwise it is worthless that I have learned about democracy and free living in a democratic country," said Manjima, who uses Facebook to propagate her stance through writeups and paintings.
Through this way, Manjima demanded justice for the two girls who committed suicide at Valayar in Kerala's Palakkad.
The girls ended their lives, allegedly after they were sexually abused.
