Kochi: The petition filed by the prosecution counsel, seeking to cancel actor Dileep’s bail in the actor assault case, is being considered by the Trial Court, here on Tuesday.

Moving the court, the prosecution has alleged that actor Dileep has been trying to influence a witness in the case.

Dileep has been out on bail since October 2017 after serving more than 80 days in jail.

Meanwhile, the witness examination of actor and MLA Mukesh has also begun in the court.

The trial proceedings are on in the special CBI court in Kochi, in a discreet manner.

Actor Dileep was also present for the witness examination. Actor Mukesh’s witness examinations and cross-examination were scheduled for Tuesday.

Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the actor abduction and assault case, had served as Actor Mukesh’s driver for about a year.

According to the prosecution, Dileep had plotted with Pulsar Suni to attack the survivor actor during the stage show conducted for AMMA, the Malayalam actors association. Pulsar Suni had reached the rehearsal camp then as actor Mukesh’s driver.

However, Mukesh had stated that he had no hint about the connection between actor Dileep and Pulsar Suni. Mukesh had also clarified earlier that he had not given the VVIP ticket for the AMMA mega show to Pulsar Suni.

According to Mukesh, he had expelled Pulsar Suni from service as his driver, after the actor’s car driven by Suni collided with a truck.

In his statement to the investigation team, Mukesh has also revealed that another driver who was arranged by Suni had fled with Rs 1 Lakh from him.

Mukesh has stated that he knew that there were some problems between the survivor actor and Dileep.

He revealed that after the incident, he had called and enquired about it. Dileep had called Mukesh on the day he was arrested but Mukesh said that he had not picked the call.

Mukesh stated that he used call Dileep only for necessary communication.

So far, the examination of 45 witnesses including the survivor actor has been completed by the trial court.

The Supreme Court has directed to complete the trials in 6 months and issue a verdict in the actor assault case.
