Kannur:A transgender who contested the local body elections in Kerala as an independent candidate, set herself ablaze on Tuesday.
She was identified as Sneha, of Samajwadi Colony in Kannur. Sneha was a native of Thottada.

Police visited her house and later the mortuary at Pariyaram Medical College where her body has been kept.
