This Muslim man from Kerala teaches Bhagavad Gita, yoga

Shaik Nazeer Basha says there are no religions and stresses the need for humanity. Not only that, but he also practices what he preaches and like any other Muslim, he prays Namaz five times every day and also reads Bhagavad Gita with equal aplomb.

Thiruvananthapuram:While everyone hopes for a peaceful life after retirement,Shaik Nazeer Basha is redefining life after work with his over-the-top hobbies that he has taken up. This retired employee from Nellore now preaches humanity, propagates religious amity and bats for equality besides teaching Yoga.

Basha says there are no religions and stresses the need for humanity. Not only that, but he also practices what he preaches and like any other Muslim, he prays Namaz five times every day and also reads Bhagavad Gita with equal aplomb.

For the past 10 years, he has been teaching yoga to youth and elderly people in his own building.

A resident of Mulapet of Nellore district, Basha retired as a bank employee recently. During his job, he joined Bhikshamayi Guruji of Nalgonda as a disciple and practised yoga and learnt Bhagavad Githa. Now, Basha advocates for equality and religious tolerance.

He says that his Guruji gives messaged through yoga and religious amity are of the highest value that should be replicated.

Under guruji influence, Basha too practices and teaches yoga and vouches for equality and humanity. He says that he is on a mission to teach yoga and disseminate the message of Bhagavad Githa among people in villages.

Being a Muslim, he respects all other religions and says that Bhagavad Gita has great knowledge to offer.

Basha started yoga teaching in 2004 while doing his job, he also obtained a loan and built a new building for his yoga centre. Now, he stresses the need for Yoga and the message of Bhagavad Githa even in the remote villages.

Since the 10 years of teaching yoga, he has also taught Bhagavad Gita to many people. He encourages them to chant about 700 shlokas from Bhagavad Gita while performing yoga on a regular basis.

In addition to encouraging people for yoga, Basha also exhorts people to practice meditation.

Basha has established Githa Vaibhavam Trust in 2018 and started service programs where a large number of crowd gathers to listen to him.
