Thiruvananthapuram:The Kerala cabinet has given its nod to acquire land for Silver Line, Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod semi high-speed railway line project. The project was given a green signal after administrative sanction to avail Rs 2,100 crore was granted for land acquisition, according to reports.

The total cost of the project is expected to be Rs 64,000 crore. Sources said Rs 33,000 crore will be borrowed as foreign loans and the rest of the amount will be shared by the state and the Centre.
