Sabarimala Revenue collection crosses 100 crores

As the Mandalam season in Sabarimala completes one month, the revenue collection of the temple has risen to 100 crore rupees. There is an increase of Rs 40 crores compared to the previous season.

Sabarimala:After one month of the Mandalam-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season, the revenue collection at Sabrimala has crossed Rs 100 crores.

There is an increase of Rs 40 crores compared to the previous season. The fall in revenue of last year was caused by the protests against the Supreme Court's verdict permitting women of all age groups to enter the temple.

The hundi collection alone generated a revenue of Rs 35 crores. A currency of more than Rs 6 crore is yet to be counted. The revenue from the sale of Aravana and Appam also increased. The Devaswom Board is expecting a record turnover in Sabarimala with a month remaining.
