Man kills wife, later commits suicide

A 34-year-old man on Wednesday allegedly killed his wife and later committed suicide by hanging himself at Kattukulam in Kerala. A probe is underway in the case.

Kattukulam (Kerala):A 34-year-old man allegedly killed his wife here and later committed suicide by hanging himself, police said on Thursday.

The man, Santosh, strangled his wife Ranjita (30) to death on Wednesday night at Kattukulam.

According to the reports, the couple often quarrelled over domestic issues and the man also suspected his wife's character, and this may have triggered the murder.

Santosh was a daily wage worker in a tiles company, while his wife worked as a security guard at a local bank in the city, added police.

A probe is underway, the police added.
