Man held for smuggling gold under wig at Calicut airport

Custom officials arrested a man from Calicut airport for trying to smuggle gold worth ₹25 lakhs. Ramis had shaved the hair at the centre of his head and placed the gold at the centre and covered it with a wig.

Malappuram:A man was arrested for smuggling gold mixture hidden under his wig. The accused was identified as Mohammed Ramis of Pattikadu from Malappuram and he was arrested by Customs officials at Karipur airport in Calicut.

Ramis had shaved the hair at the centre of his head and placed the gold worth ₹25 lakhs at the centre. He had put on a wig over it.

He had reached India by Air India Express IX 348 Dubai flight.

Ramis is the part of the major gold smuggling gang.
