Thiruvananthapuram:Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president K Sudhakaran has responded to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's allegations, saying that Vijayan should be ready to investigate the allegations if he has a backbone. The statement was made during a press conference at Kochi.
An interview of Sudhakaran was published in a vernacular magazine in which he said he had kicked Pinarayi Vijayan down during an incident that happened around 50 years ago at Brennen College, at Thalassery in Kannur district.
Sudhakaran said that his remarks had been disclosed to the reporter of a vernacular weekly 'off the record'. "I was not interested in sharing this incident. However, when he asked about it, I recalled the past events on the condition that it would not be published. I have complained about this matter to the editor of the publication," he said.
He also said allegations like a plot to kidnap Pinarayi’s children were absolutely false. Why has he not revealed the details, why has he not complained to the police? Sudhakaran questioned.
