Koodathayi murder case : Sili's son gives statement against Jolly

Sili's son gave a statement to police stating that he saw Jolly giving water from her bag to his mother just before she died. Sili was Jolly's first husband's ex-wife.

Kozhikode:The sensational Koodathayi murder case witnessed another development when Sili's son gave a statement to the police. Sili was Jolly's first husband's ex-wife.

The boy stated to police that he had seen Jolly giving water taken from her bag to his mother Sili, just before she died. He also said that he saw Jolly passing on bread to feed the two-year-old Alphine, Sili and Shaju’s daughter, after which she also fell ill and died.

The case pertains to a series of deaths that took place between 2002 and 2016.

The first to die an unnatural death was Jolly's mother-in-law Annamma, a retired teacher in 2002. She was followed by Jolly's father-in-law, Tom Thomas, in 2008.

In 2011, their son and Jolly's husband, Roy Thomas, died. It was followed by the death of Roy's maternal uncle, Mathew, in 2014.

The two-year-old child of Sili (Shaju's first wife) died the following year, while Sili passed away in 2016.
