Kerala woman jumps into lake with toddler son

A mother committed suicide by jumping into the Ashtamudi lake with her child at Kundara, Vellimanni in Kollam.

Kollam:A woman named Rakhi jumped into Ashtamudi lake near Kundara, Vellimanni in Kollam along with her toddler son on Monday.

Rakhi, a native of Perinad, jumped into the lake with her three-year-old son Adi.

A search and rescue team recovered Rakhi's body. The search for the baby is still underway.

Kollam police have launched an investigation into the incident.
