Regular classes for the SSLC and plus-two students are to begin in full compliance with Covid guidelines and precautionary measures. Arrangements are being made to ensure all facilities in schools.

The facilities to disinfect classrooms and monitoring students’ temperatures are nearing completion. Hand sanitisers, soap, thermal scanner and thermoset are facilitated in school premises.

Disinfection and sanitization are given utmost importance, especially as schools are to function after a very long break due to Covid pandemic. Classrooms, libraries, labs, restrooms and water sources are being totally sanitised.

It should also be noted that as many as 1.75 lakh children have enrolled for classes 1 to 10 in the State Government-run schools, this academic year, as per the latest data of the Education Department.

More than 6.8 lakh students have joined the State schools in the past four years since the Public Education Rejuvenation Mission has been implemented. There has been an increase of 47,760 children while considering the total number of students as against last year.
