Kannur: Schools in Kerala are all set to welcome students of class 10 and 12, from January 1, after remaining closed for over 10 months, owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Initially, only 50 per students would attend classes as per the directions of the government. Those students who are unable to reach schools are permitted to continue their studies through online classes. Government has directed the Department of Education to conduct revision classes for the students before the exams scheduled on March 17.
Regular classes for the SSLC and plus-two students are to begin in full compliance with Covid guidelines and precautionary measures. Arrangements are being made to ensure all facilities in schools.
The facilities to disinfect classrooms and monitoring students’ temperatures are nearing completion. Hand sanitisers, soap, thermal scanner and thermoset are facilitated in school premises.
