Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala):In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and strict regulation on holding physical protests, Kerala's United Democratic Front (UDF) opposition led by the Congress has decided to protest online.
UDF leaders and elected representatives will participate in protests through social media platforms, under the banner 'Speak up Kerala' on August 1 and August 10, said Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala, here on Sunday.
The protest demands the Chief Minister's resignation and also seeks CBI investigation in the alleged involvement of the CM's office in the gold smuggling case
On August 1, UDF MLAs and MPs will join the strike and observe satyagraha from wherever they are -- their offices or their homes. The lawmakers would elaborate on the protest demands and the reasons for the strike, through their official social media accounts.
