Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government will not file a writ petition in the High Court against the Lokayukta verdict against KT Jaleel. The decision comes after the government received legal advice not to file a writ petition in the wake of Minister Jaleel's resignation.

The decision has been made as per the Advocate General's legal advice. Before Jaleel's resignation, the government had planned to approach the High Court and sought AG's assistance. In the meanwhile, Jaleel tendered his resignation. The Lokayukta report said that KT Jaleel should not continue as a Minister as he is charged with nepotism.
